A new article by graduate student Dante Capone on the LTER network website highlights CCE-LTER’s research on gelatinous zooplankton.
The LTER Science Council meeting took place at Kellogg Biological Station May 10-12, 2023. Mike Stukel presented a lightning talk on Phase IV of CCE-LTER, which can be viewed here.

Stephanie Matthews will defend her doctoral dissertation, “Influences of physical dispersal and environmental selection on mesopelagic and epipelagic zooplankton distributions at multiple scales across the North Pacific Ocean.” The public is invited.
CCE will mentor 7 REUs this summer (26 June – 15 Sept) in various labs on the SIO campus. A wide range of research projects will be explored over the 12 week program.
