A successful 2025 CCE Process cruise (18 Oct – 17 Nov)!

CCE LTER recently returned from our latest process cruise (P2510) aboard the R/V Atlantis. We completed a variety of deployments – in situ arrays, sediment traps, CTD casts, net tows, GO Flo casts, McLane pump casts, and tows of a Deep Plankton Imaging system. Many experiments were also conducted aboard ship in our on-deck incubators. We explored the California Current region from the shelf just off Point Conception to the edge of the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre hundreds of kilometers offshore. Many thanks to the crew of R/V Atlantis and to all of our collaborators for a successful cruise. We will be busy analyzing data from P2510 over the coming months to learn more about our coastal upwelling biome.
